Nintendo GameCube Console
Nintendo GameCube was released by Nintendo in 2001, making it a wonderful console home. It was a brave move from Nintendo because it competed with Xbox and PlayStation 2. Optical disc was used in its hardware which allowed GameCube to run the more complex games, and it was the one reason that helped this console to carve its way out from the stiff competition. In Nintendo 64, cartridges were used, and using optical discs in GameCube gave Nintendo a first step towards technology which made it popular enough that those titles are still celebrated.
The reason for its impressive graphical presentation of that time was its development from the custom IBM PowerPC CPU which is also known as “Gekko”. Also, the role of custom GPU by ATI in its development made its graphics wonderful. New designs were introduced at that time for this console like the new C-stick, wonderful and well-placed buttons, and its grip which was a lot more comfortable.
Nintendo GameCube connectivity with GameBoy Advance allowed its users to enjoy a cross-platform gameplay experience. At the downside, it didn’t have the multimedia capabilities that its competitors had at that time but on the plus side, it was made for delivering the pure gaming experience which was the core motive of Nintendo to its audience.
Although Nintendo GameCube did not gain as much popularity as its competitors gained, it has left a lasting legacy to the gaming world which its fans are still enjoying.
